Act 3 sport science practical

On the 13th of February our school had 'carnival athletics day'. It is when the everyone in the school from year 9 to 12 gather together and participate in different sport activities like 'shot put', '100m', 'nerf throwing', 'tug of war' and others. When a student participates in one of these activities he/she earns point s for their house colour, and if they win first place in their heats they gain even more points.

I would put my participation at an achieved level because I had brought the correct gear on the day and had participated at all of the activities that were assigned to the year 11 boys group. The activities that we participated in were the 'nerf throw', '100m', 'shot put' and 'tug of war'.

Several things influenced my participation that day. The first was the weather. On the day it was hotter than normal, the heat was intense and we had to stand in the sunlight for close to three hours. The heat greatly influenced how hard people tried because they didn't want to start sweating and getting hot. Another influence that made my participation falter was the 'nerf throw'. When it was my turn to throw, I got into the hoop, got ready to throw and seeing Jordan throw the nerf over the gate and on the roof, I let my guard down and threw the nerf, but it slipped out of my hands a fell short of the third line. I had thought that throwing the nerf would have been easy but it didn't make it over the line. This made me feel depressed, and making feel like giving up but what made me feel even worse was that i could have done better. when we finished the nerf throwing we went to the next activity but I did not try my hardest.

If I were to improve myself to get a higher grade I would have tried my hardest from the start even when someone else makes it look easy. When I fail I will keep trying again and again and if I give up than at least I would know that I had tried and failed instead of not knowing if I can do it and failing
